Our Hawaii Bed and Breakfast is a lovely two story plantation-style home featuring three comfortable and attractive guest suites. Surrounded by colorful tropical gardens, overlooking a seemingly endless ocean view that promises, and delivers, unforgettable evening sunsets. We are located approximately 20 miles south of Kailua-Kona amidst Kona coffee country and historical sites such as Captain Cook's Monument, Place of Refuge, state beaches and Painted Church only a short drive away.

For your good health, and ours,  Hawaii Bed and Breakfast~ Hale Ho`ola is a non-smoking house, however, we do have an outdoor smoking area. Children are welcome.

Directions from Kailua-Kona Airport

Hawaii Bed and Breakfast~Hale Ho`ola is approximately 26 miles from the Kailua-Kona (Keahole) airport.

Exit the airport road to the stoplight at the main highway and turn right (south) towards Kailua-Kona.

Continue south past Kailua-Kona on Highway 11.

Pass through several small towns including Kealakekua, Captain Cook and Honaunau.

Hale Ho`ola is located on Highway 11 (Mamalahoa Highway) one mile past Highway 160 junction.

Watch for our lovely welcoming sign on the right-hand side of the road about 1/4 mile past the 103 mile marker. Turn in at our sign and come down the driveway. You will find ample parking just out side the door to your accommodations.

Each glorious day begins with a full scrumptious breakfast buffet on our inviting breakfast lanai overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Bob and Mary enjoy hosting visitors, sharing stories and providing and information or recommendations you might need to make your Hawaii vacation a memorable one. We meet people from all over the world each year and look forward to meeting you soon.

Mornings wouldn't be complete without fresh Kona coffee and locally grown tropical fruits. The coffee is ground fresh daily and the locally grown tropical fruits, in season, are gathered just up the road by Ken and Beth, who's South Kona Fruit Stand is known island-wide for its fresh fruit and friendly service. A must stop during your Big Island vacation. We also grow fruit on our property and serve it to you when in season.

Guest Suites are located on the first level guest floor, separate from the living area of the house. Each with private entrance, bath and lanai with spectacular ocean views. Mini refrigerators are located on each guest lanai.

We invite you to relax and encourage you to make Hale Ho`ola your home-away-from-home when visiting the Big Island of Hawaii. Relax in our spacious sitting room for reading or just plain relaxing.

Light snacks, coffee and teas are always available at our refreshment center, including a microwave for our guests use.
